Once again, Dodge City got off to a slow start, but stepped-up defense and overcame the shooting woes, and propelled the Legend to a 85-78 win over the 'Dawgs.

The game got off to a sluggish start, with neither team getting much going offensively. AT the end of the first, Dodge City led 16-14.

The pace picked up considerably in the second quarter, with Dodge City scoring 31 points in the stanza to take a 47-39 lead into the locker room.

The Legend was able to control the pace and hold the 'Dawgs at bay in the second half to grab their first road win of the season.

Renaldo Major led Dodge City with 20 points, while Eric Chatfield added 16. James Reeves tallied a double-double, scoring 10 and grabbing 10 boards.

The grueling road trip continues Sunday with a 2:00 PM EDT tip against the Brooklyn Kings.
