The 2000 USBL Post Season Festival MVP is coming back to the Dodge City Legend.

Artie Griffin, a 6-4 guard from the University of Alabama, has committed to return the Legend.

Griffin played most recently for Legend assistant coach Dale Osborne with the Gary Steelheads of the Continental Basketball Association. Since leaving Dodge City, Griffin has played with the Fort Wayne Fury of the CBA, the Rockford Lighting of the International Basketball League, the Roanoke Dazzle of the National Basketball Developmental League, and the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the CBA. He played with the Los Angeles Lakers summer league team in 2001.

He averaged 18.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game and was an All-USBL selection while helping the Legend to a 25-8 record and the USBL title.

Griffin becomes the fourth player to commit to the Legend in 2003. Alvin Jefferson, a teammate of Griffin on the 200 0 title team, Immanuel McElroy from the University of Cincinnati and David Graves from the University of Notre Dame have already been announced.
