LEGEND SIGN FIRST PLAYER FOR 2003 SEASON

Forward Alvin Jefferson is the first player to commit to play for the Dodge City Legend in the 2003 season.

Jefferson, who played collegiately at Auburn, is the only player to have played all three previous seasons of the Legend's existence. The 6-9 forward averaged 7.5 points and 6.2 rebounds in his 50 games in a Dodge City uniform.

"Not only is Alvin a tremendous person and a great ambassador for the Legend," said Legend general manager Tom Nelson. "He is also one of the most exciting players ever to wear a Legend uniform."

Jefferson averaged 5.8 points and 4.7 rebounds in 25 games split between the Legend and the Pennsylvania Valley Dawgs last season.
